The venue for the fifth edition of Pettah Interchange is a presently abandoned colonial building that has stood for over 100 years in the heart of Colombo.

The fourth installment of Pettah Interchange took place on the 8th of August 2015 inside the sprawling and dilapidated Rio Cinema & Hotel complex in the heart of Colombo's Slave Island district. With a lineup of over a dozen musicians from Germany, India, Pakistan, The Maldives and Sri Lanka, Pettah Interchange aims to once again deliver a high-quality slice of the Berlin underground club experience in Colombo.

In 2013, The Interchange was held at the Old Town hall Market Place in Pettah, converting the bustling marketplace into a high -tech performance space with artists such as Skinnerbox (Berlin), BLOT! (New Delhi) and Sandunes (Bombay) performing alongside local musicians.

The third incarnation of Pettah Interchange took place in August 2014 at the sprawling Rio Complex in Slave Island.

The first edition of Pettah Interchange served as a showcase for the original material composed and recorded by musicians from Germany, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka during the Sound Camp South Asia Artist Residency that took place in July 2012.
